I recently had the privilege of designing a logo for local photographer and friend, Sarah Taylor. You can check out another collaboration we did on her wedding flowers here. 

Sarah is a really talented photographer, she always captures great life and joy in her photos and needed a logo to reflect her style.

The final logo I designed is a bright, modern, minimal design which can easily be translated across social media, photo watermarks and promotional materials. 

I thought for this post I'd share a little more of the process that went into designing the logo. There's many, many more little variations and designs I worked through but below you'll find a sample of the design process. 

I always start with pen and paper, so you can see some hand lettered samples I did of her name. These didn't make the final cut as we were seeking to create a truly timeless and simple logo. 

I usually aim to send through 5-7 logo variations, but with so many ideas and options running through my mind I sent through 9 options for Sarah to choose from... I always find deciding to be the hardest part!
